I am currently in 11th grade and will be taking the university entrance exams next year. However, I am uncertain about which university and program to choose.
Since I was little, I have been passionate about cars. I have also designed and assembled model cars on my own and even sold a few. I love this field and aspire to become an automotive mechanical engineer. However, many people tell me that it is difficult to find a job in this field and that the salary is low, with people often viewing you as just a mechanic.
Hearing this makes me feel down. Then, my cousin, who is a petroleum engineer, advised me to consider the oil and gas industry. He told me that working on an oil rig would offer high pay. Since I have good technical and assembly skills, he believes I could study to become a drilling engineer.
I am now torn between these two career paths and would appreciate advice from those with experience. Thank you so much.
